usage: MBREDIT (DRIVE) [-G (C.H.S)] [-P (PART)] [-B] [-U] [-T (TYPE)]
         [-S (C.H.S)] [-E (C.H.S)] [-K] [-F (FILENAME)] [-W]

MBREDIT (01.04, 04/25/98)

(DRIVE) specifies the physical disk drive.
   Must be 0 for 1st drive, 1 for 2nd drive.
   May be @(FILE) to specify an external file.

-G defines the geometry when the drive is specified as @(FILE).
   If -G is not specified, the drive 0 geometry is used.

(C.H.S) is the number of cylinders, heads, and sectors.

-P selects the partition number.

(PART) is the optional partition number; 0, 1, 2, or 3
   Defaults to 0.

-B sets the bootable flag.

-U unsets the bootable flag.

-T sets the type of partition.

(TYPE) is the partition type.
  May be decimal (0 to 255) or hex ($00 to $ff).

-S sets the starting address.  The address is specified as a C.H.S
   (cylinder, head, sector) triple.  The address may also be specified
   as an absolute sector number.

(C.H.S) is the starting cylinder, head, sector address of the partition.

-E sets the ending address.  The address is specified as a C.H.S
   (cylinder, head, sector) triple.  The address may also be specified
   as an absolute sector number.

(C.H.S) is the ending cylinder, head, sector address of the partition.

-N sets the number of sectors.  Normally, the number of sectors is
   calculated from the starting and ending addresses.

-K uses the static ptable (instead of the working ptable).
   For use with the PROXYM.BIN master boot record.

-F sets the proxy boot filename.
   For use with the PROXY.BIN partition boot record.

(FILENAME) is a simple unqualified 8.3 filename.

-W writes to disk.

Functionality

Parse parameters. Read MBR. Display MBR. Modify working copy of MBR. Display modifed MBR. Write MBR if -W option was specified.
